The nice people at PHOTOICON have written all about me in the latest rock and roll edition of their very wonderful magazine. Its glossy and it feels nice on the fingertips…this is the Vogue of the photography magazine – I’m so excited I’m going to run off for a little wee ;)
I am about to stage my biggest exhibition to date. The photographs will appear at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough, North Yorkshire from 31st March until the 6th May so be sure to pop in if you are in the area.

This week I have discovered that I have photos in an A-Z of Franz Ferdinand and also in Paul Weller – The Changing Man! That’s not a bad week for little ‘ol me :)
I have only worked with Franz Ferdinand once, unlike Paul who I have worked with many, many times. He’s a nice man to spend time with and, although an established and respected musician, he is much more down to earth than a lot of the bands who have just made it.
I have just been written about in Digital SLR User. Although I have been the subject of numerous articles in the past, this is the first one to look at just my wedding photography. The article featured four photographers who are better know for a different genre of photography (mine is rock photography) and was titled ‘Weddings as Well’. You can read the full article here.
My latest commisioned work is for singer/songwriter Maria Jordan. We spent the day on the North Yorkshire Moors taking photographs for her album and website. The telephone in the above photograph was ‘borrowed’ from my flat because Maria took a liking to it at our pre-shoot meeting!
A while back I was filmed for BBC’s Inside Out show. A TV Crew shadowed me on a couple of photoshoots (Kaiser Chiefs and iLiKETRAiNS) and filmed an exclusive interview. BBC Look North found out about this and asked me to appear on the evening news the same day. Both of these videos can be viewed here.
This is the first major change to my website in over five years so please let me know what you think to it. It’s a lot sleaker than the last site and a lot more modern looking. My photographs are now integrated with the Flickr online gallery and there is a blog too (obviously- you’re on it)
The galleries have been streamlined – there is a lot less than there used to be but the new site is all about quality not quantity. More photos will be added on a weekly basis and there’s a lot more interesting stuff to follow.
All in all it’s a cleaner smarter site and a lot less pink. I hope you will agree.
